Work Placement Style Guide: Part II

Monday

Monday's look was simple and pretty cute! A peter pan collar check chiffon blouse with a black pencil skirt. The blouse is a very feminine look which offsets the tight skirt. The shoes are pale patent pink 50s style Mary Janes I picked up from Asda. I decided to give it an up do to complete the effortless look.

It's a mixture of school teacher meets secretary but I do love how simple it is. A black pencil skirt will go with anything! Keep it simple to very feminine to offset just how tight it can be! I also love these shoes! Add some lace frill socks for a more modern feminine look.

Tuesday

Speaking of inappropriately tight skirts, boy do I love this green lace pencil skirt. I usually wear it on nights out because it is very "figure-hugging", but today I teamed it with a silk monochrome shirt to make it workplace ready. I did feel a little uncomfortable with the tightness of the skirt during the day, so this is something you should keep for more liberal workplaces, but nonetheless if you have a statement pencil skirt, work it.

The shirt just makes it more workplace suitable, but shows you don't have to wear shirts in a suit, try something a little more adventurous, bold or patterned with a plain shirt.

Wednesday

As before, Wednesday is always the struggling to get out of bed day. So this is such a simple, throw on black trousers and a shirt look. It looks quite casual but still just about workplace ready (with the right accessories!) For added formality throw on a blazer.

If you have a simple preppy shirt, there's nothing wrong with making it the focus of the outfit!

 Thursday

The final day of the style guide and it's business woman day.
What a difference a blazer makes! This is my first look with a blazer and by far it is the most professional looking. Underneath is nothing special, a jersey bodycon which you're more likely to see in a club than an office, but with the right style it works!

You do have to be careful with a midi bodycon like this, the jersey material can be incredibly unkind! Unless you have the body of a Victoria's Secret supermodel I would recommend either shaping underwear or a more structured material.

I teamed these drab black and grey colours with some neon bright blues in the shoes and earrings. Monochrome and neon is huge this summer so you can still wear the trends in the office!
